Monday in Lubbock, Texas a judge ruled against the NCAA and will allow Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby to play this season. This comes after Sorsby was found to have placed bets on his own team while at Indiana. Not once, but over 40 times. There is talk out there about the SEC and Big Ten breaking away from the NCAA and creating a Super Conference. While it’s not something I think is good for college football, it is something I could see happening. June was always going to be a big month, but June 5th has unexpectedly turned into Nebraska’s biggest recruiting weekend yet with 15 official visitors currently scheduled to be in Lincoln. In the 2026 recruiting cycle Nebraska brought recruits in early for visits only to have them visit other schools afterwards and commit there. This season Rhule and his staff made a concentrated effort to schedule visits during the third week of June so they would have the last shot. You’ve heard it before, but it’s worth repeating, June is a huge month for Nebraska recruiting. With the list of visitors increasing each week and Nebraska continuing to make offers, June becomes increasingly important. Georgia Tech was home for Geep Wade for three years before coming to Nebraska. As the offensive line coach from 2023 through 2025, Wade developed offensive lines that were highly successful at both run and pass blocking.
