Wisconsin Postgame Press Conference NEBRASKA IS BOWL ELIGIBLE!  For the first time since the 2016 season the Nebraska Cornhuskers will be going to a bowl game.  And the sweetest part about this win was that it was Senior day against Wisconsin, who we haven’t beaten since 2012.  The offense looked strong and physical upfront, pushing around a stout Wisconsin defense to the tune of 180 yards rushing.  Raoila looked like he regained his confidence and playmaking abilities going 28/38 for 293 yds, 1 Td, and 0 int’s.  The defense didn’t have its best game of the season, but held Wisconsin…

USC Postgame Press Conference This now makes 4 straight losses in a row for the Nebraska Cornhusker Football team giving them only two more chances to reach bowl eligibility for the first time since 2016.  The story of the game seemed to play out very predictably for most Husker fans, Nebraska had opportunities to win but was unable to capitalize, the Ref’s had some more than questionable missed calls (Pass interference), and the ball just seemed to bounce USC’s way today. After the game Head Coach Matt Rhule held his usual postgame press conference, here are some of the highlights…

Bye Week Press Conference With Coach Rhule As we head into the bye week many Husker fans are still feeling the sting of a gut wrenching loss at home to a 2-5 UCLA team under a first year head coach.  It was the kind of loss that seems to continue the trend of Nebraska taking one step forward, only to take two steps back the next week.  The defense which has been the strong point for the Huskers most of the season seemed to be on its heels against a largely anemic UCLA offense, and the Husker Offense continues a…

Post Ohio State Press Conference There is no other way to say it, today stung.  But I  have to say as a whole I  am surpised with how much better Nebraska looked today vs last week at Indiana.  For the first time in a long time we had a field goal kicker make 3 long field goals of 39, 56, and 47 yards which kept us in the game and in a position to potentially win at the end.  But the Huskers just were not able to get it done this Saturday.  There are still many things this team needs…

Rutgers Post Game Press Conference Robby Hamberg Husker nation lets take a minute and rejoice that the Huskers are off to a 5-1 start with wins over what appears to be a better than initially thought 4-1 Colorado, and a 5-0 Rutgers.  We can all momentarily breathe a sigh of relief that Nebraska was able to hold on to a one score lead late into the 4th quarter due to a strong showing from Brian “Boomschini” and the defense.  This may not have been the kind of game you wanted to have against Rutgers, but this was the kind…

Purdue Post Game Press Conference Robby Hamberg Week 4 against Purdue has come to an end for Nebraska Football.  The final Score of 28-10 would make you think this was an easy game for the Huskers, but this win did not come easy.  Watching the game from home I  found myself getting the same feeling deep down that we all have had the past 6-8 years.  It’s going into the 4th quarter and we are only up 4, another tight one score game that we have proven time and time again that we cannot find a way to win.  But…

WEEK 4 PRESS CONFERENCE WITH COACH RHULE Robby Hamberg As we look forward to another exciting and meaningful game in Lincoln, two top 25 teams in Memorial Stadium since the 2014 Minnesota game, it has been business in Lincoln as usual.  The coaching staff and team have been preparing for a hard nosed, smash mouth Big Ten style of football that Illinois is going to bring.  This Friday will be another chance for the Huskers to prove themselves on the national stage as the biggest game of the night. On Monday Coach Rhule held his Week 4 press conference, here…

Week 2 Press Conference and Thoughts Ahead of the Game Robby Hamberg We are just over 24 hours away from kickoff against Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffalos in Lincoln.  This is going to be one of the most highly watched games of the week in America, with last seasons game garnering 8.73 million viewers.  That was largely in part to the fact that this is a historic rivalry and because the Colorado Head Coach decided to make it “personal”, drawing a good storyline for the media to use.  This year however the Colorado coach has been more complimentary…

Nebraska 2024 Season Record Prediction Robby Hamberg As we get set for another season of Husker Football, we find ourselves dreaming of a 10-2 or better record for the season.  The offseason hype surrounding this team has been high, and the Rhule-aid has been drunk by many in the fan base (myself included).  As I  look at our 2024 schedule I  see a real chance that Nebraska can get to 9 or 10 wins, for many reasons. 1. Defense is returning most of its production and will be in year 2 of Tony White’s system 2. The offense has a…
