Freshman quarterback Daniel Kaelin is intending to enter the transfer portal. Kaelin was an Elite-11 recruit from Bellevue West High School.
This is not a surprise due to Nebraska already having freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola. Head coach Matt Rhule believes Kaelin has NFL arm talent, but it’s nearly impossible to keep two on the same roster in this transfer portal era.
What will they do with junior quarterback Heinrich Haarberg? Haarberg will be going into his senior season next year. Don’t be surprised if they still move him to another position. With Kaelin leaving, it will put Big Red at three scholarship quarterbacks after four-star T.J. Lateef signs.
