It’s official. Nebraska defensive line coach Terrance Knighton follows former Husker defensive coordinator Tony White to Florida State. Knighton was speculated to be leaving, but nothing was official until Wednesday morning.
He was at Tuesday’s Nebraska practice. Many thought he might have decided to stay with the possibility of head coach Matt Rhule opening the checkbook. He ultimately said his goodbyes on Wednesday morning. This explains the portal entries on the defensive line such as Jimari Butler, James Williams, Vincent Jackson and Princewill Umanmielen.
On the bright side for the Big Red, they have already signed four-star edge Dawson Merritt, four-star linebackers Christian Jones and Pierce Mooberry, four-star defensive linemen Malcolm Simpson, Kade Pietrzak and Tyson Terry.
