College Football 26 will be released in just over a month, and with the new game comes a new way to support your favorite team. Electronic Arts has announced a new method of paying schools for the usage of their names, images, and likenesses. Instead of using a tier system like last year, teams will now be paid royalties tied to how often their teams are used in game play. This means all 136 FBS schools that agreed to be in the game will be compensated by their popularity. So if you want to play as the worst team and try to turn them into a powerhouse or play as your favorite team, you’ll be helping them both out.
College Football 26 features 2,700 new plays, thousands of real college athletes, and will now have over 300 real coaches. The game will also feature iconic traditions and a new road game atmosphere that will make playing road games against legendary teams like Florida, Penn State, and even Nebraska more difficult.
So Husker fans, if you want to help Nebraska win a championship in the real world, you better be winning dozens of them in the virtual world.
