The Huskers sit firmly at No. 1 in the national polls and, for the second straight week holding the spot unanimously. That kind of respect does not come easy, but Nebraska’s start to the year has made the vote simple.
In just the opening weeks, Nebraska has already collected a resume that would impress in November. The Huskers have knocked off a gauntlet of ranked opponents, sweeping number 7 Kentucky, grinding past number 3 Pittsburgh, and outlasting perennial powerhouse number 6 Stanford. Each of those wins came with a different flavor, but all ended with Nebraska in control and walking off the court as the better team.
