Nebraska football has been turning heads in the recruiting game this month and they have now capped it off with a commitment from elite 2026 four-star OT Claude Mpouma.
This is another big win for Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, who also landed three-star OT Leon Noil from New Orleans (LA) earlier this afternoon.
The 6’8’’ 260 pound OT from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago (IL), is ranked as the #176th overall ranked recruit in the class (On3 Industry) and commits to the Huskers over Auburn, Florida, Michigan and Ohio State.
Mpouma visited the Huskers this month, with peer recruiter and elite 2027 QB Trae Taylor by his side.
Rhule and the Huskers have come behind once again for an elite recruit, Mpouma had been linked heavily between Auburn and Florida in weeks prior, but Rhule and Raiola came in and swooped up their ninth commit in the month of June alone.
What Does the Film Say?
Mpouma is solid in both run and pass blocking with college ready technique, still a young prospect but his ceiling is one of the highest of any tackle in this class.
The versatility stands out as well, having played snaps at both left and right tackle, playing both up-right and using a three-point stance.
Would love to see what he can do in the screen game.
There is still work to be done in the 2026 class, but Nebraska is currently trending for a pair of four-star recruits in Winter Garden (FL) WR Larry Miles and Houston (TX) LB Calvin Thomas.
