After upsetting the top seeded and #4 ranked Oregon Ducks early Saturday morning, the Huskers will now be set with a rematch of last seasons Big Ten Championship game against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
After a long delay postponed the Ducks and Huskers matchup, Nebraska was able to take care of business after a 9:00 am start time earlier this morning.
Gabe Swansen continued his dominant play at Charles Schwab field, hitting a two-run home run in first inning, finishing his day with 2 hits in his five at bats.
Starting pitcher Jackson Brockett provided six key innings on the mound, giving up just one run before Will Walsh came in to finish the job.
The Ducks were looking to make things interesting in the bottom of the ninth, scoring two runs before the Ducks final batter flew out to right fielder Robby Bolin, sending the Huskers to the semi-finals.
The Huskers will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the second semi-final of the day.
Nebraska and Penn State did not meet in the regular season.
