After being down by 20 points early in the second half, the Huskers rallied back to pick up a must have Quad 1 road win over the Northwestern Wildcats 68-64.
The Huskers looked dead in the water throughout the entire first half, leading scorer Brice Williams was completely shut down, and Northwestern sharpshooter Ty Berry was on pace to have the best game of his career.
Whatever happened in the Huskers locker room at halftime, completely changing the course of the entire game.
After scoring just 21 points in the first half, the Huskers exploded in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats 47-28 behind a great effort from senior leaders Williams and Juwan Gary.
Gary scored 17 points on over 50% shooting, while Williams added 21 points, marking his sixth straight game scoring at least 20 points and 14th overall on the season.
The Huskers will now be setting their sights forward towards 13-13 Penn State, a key Quad 3 opportunity for Nebraska.
