Earlier this Monday morning it was announced that the Nebraska Cornhuskers were selected to play the Arizona State Sun Devils in the College Basketball Crown, which is being held in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 31st to April 6th.
This selection comes after Fred Hoiberg’s squad were on the ropes of making the NCAA Tournament, before losing their last five games to end the regular season to drop their record to 17-14, while missing out on the Big Ten Tournament.
Nebraska is one of two Big Ten teams playing in this tournament, the other being the 16-17 USC Trojans, coached by former Arkansas coach Eric Musselman.
