Huskers complete the flip
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have just scored a significant victory on the recruiting trail by flipping the commitment of four-star wide receiver Isaiah Mozee from the University of Oregon. This marks a triumphant day for the Huskers as they successfully secure a top-tier talent from a Rivals’ Top 250 players. Hailing from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Isaiah Mozee is ranked as the 27th best wide receiver in the nation. His commitment to Nebraska is particularly notable as he becomes the first four-star wide receiver for the Huskers in this recruiting class. Mozee’s commitment brings the total number of four-star commits to five for this class.
Mozee’s Recruitment Journey
Isaiah Mozee initially committed to Oregon on April 17th, but his recruitment journey did not end there. The 6-1, 185-pound speedster continued exploring his options, taking visits to Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. His final decision to join the Cornhuskers highlights Nebraska’s persistent recruiting efforts.
The addition of Isaiah Mozee has bolstered Nebraska’s overall recruiting class. Currently, the Huskers have 13 three-star recruits, and 5 four stars. Adding Mozee boosts the class to the 27th spot nationally. However, within the highly competitive Big Ten Conference, Nebraska’s recruiting class stands only at 9th place.
Isaiah Mozee is the third wide receiver and the first four-star wide receiver in this year’s class, joining a promising lineup of new talent for the Huskers. His speed and agility as well as his size is what makes Mozee an attractive addition to the receiving room.
Nebraska fans have every reason to be excited about Mozee’s decision. This flip from Oregon is great considering the recent online back and forth banter between Husker Nation and the new BIG10 team Oregon. Oregon has recently toured its mascot at various BIG10 teams, including showing up to the Huskers press conference, highlighting their confidence (or dare I say arrogance) in joining the BIG10. Stealing one of their commits gives the Huskers fans something to clap back at Oregon on.
