Jones almost wasn’t a Cornhusker after an aggressive push by Missouri to flip the four-ranked athlete in the nation, but after a short delay, Jones signed with Nebraska. Jones committed to Nebraska over Missouri and Louisville. The Tigers and Cardinals both made considerable offers to land the four-star prospect, but at the end of the day, they both fell short. Although he is listed as an athlete, he will likely play somewhere in the secondary. Coming in at 6’5” and nearly 220 pounds, Jones is physically set to be both a ballhawk and a run-stopper.
