Nebraska has its running back of the future, as earlier today, 3-Star Jamal Rule signed with Nebraska. The 6’0” and 205-pound back out of North Carolina rushed for over 2,500 yards in his final two seasons and averaged over 160 yards per game. Rule is rated as a top 35 running back in the class and has all the skills to prove to be a hidden gem in this year’s class.
Jamal Rule has the frame, first step, and toughness needed to play in the Big Ten. While he might not be a home-run hitter, he knows how to lower his pads, absorb contact, and get those much-needed final yards. Coach Rhule had this to say about signing Rule earlier today, “We want to run the football. I think we proved this year that a back can be featured here. Jamal was a premier guy on our board.” Jamal Rule believes he will complete for playing time early, make an impact, and help fill the shoes left behind by Emmett Johnson if he does end up declaring for the NFL draft.
