The win marked the Huskers’ seventh consecutive sweep and propelled their overall record to a perfect 16-0, with a flawless 6-0 mark in conference play. Purdue, meanwhile, dropped to 13-3 overall and 4-2 in the Big Ten, unable to overcome Nebraska’s relentless offensive and defensive pressure.

The match unfolded with intensity from the start, as Purdue grabbed an early 10-7 lead in the first set before Nebraska clawed back with a 4-0 run, fueled by Murray’s kill and a Jackson-Adriano block. Ties and lead changes kept it tight until Murray’s back-row kill clinched it at 25-23. The second set saw Nebraska surge ahead 15-12 at the media timeout, extending the gap with blocks and aces to win 25-16. In the decisive third, the Huskers jumped to a 7-1 advantage, never looking back en route to a 25-15 finish, showcasing improved hitting of .412 in the frame.
