Nebraska Volleyball is set to make history by competing in the inaugural Spikes Under the Lights event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The highly anticipated showcase is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026. This marks the first time a women’s college sporting event will be held in the iconic home of the Dallas Cowboys. This premium one-night volleyball spectacular will feature two semifinals followed by a championship final, all played in best-of-three sets, with Nebraska joining Florida, Penn State, and SMU as the four competing teams. The Huskers’ semifinal opponent will be determined closer to the event. The event promises to be a game-changer for women’s college volleyball, highlighted by a $1 million prize pool, the largest ever awarded in women’s college sports history, and a live national broadcast on a major network, with details still to be announced.
Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly expressed the program’s excitement, stating, “We are excited and honored to be part of this historic event that showcases the continued growth of women’s volleyball. This will be a great opportunity to face some talented teams in an iconic setting… It should be an awesome night, and hopefully a lot of Husker fans will be able to experience it with us in Dallas.”
Tickets for the event will go on sale soon. Nebraska’s Huskers Athletic Fund members get first access with a pre-sale beginning this Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m. CDT, which runs until noon when the general public sale opens. Nebraska’s dedicated ticket allotment will be available through Huskers.com, with a limit of six tickets per account.
