Hi there, this is Bobby Schneider. I’m honored and excited to be member of the Carriker Chronicles staff! I grew up in southwestern Nebraska, in a small town of 900 people called Benkelman. I played sports such as football, basketball, baseball and ran track. I always had a dream of wearing a Red N. Even though I didn’t fulfill that dream, I had opportunities to play college football and wound up playing a season at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about sports, especially Husker football. Numerous peers have told me that covering sports would be a great career choice due to my sports knowledge and communication skills. I’m currently a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I am studying sports media and communications. I am just a small-town, blue-collar Nebraskan who is striving to make a career covering one of my biggest passions. Go Big Red!
