On May 27th, I gave you the names of 40 plus recruits who would be visiting Nebraska. Since then, a number of those players have committed to other schools or are still mulling over their final decision. Several players are still scheduled to visit over the next week or so, but things are starting to pick up as the Huskers have received one commitment and appear to be close to a couple more. Below is an update.
Four players to watch after visiting Nebraska.
DL – Kamron Wilson, 6’5” 210lbs., Miami, FL – 3 Star, committed to Syracuse. He’s still taking visits to Florida State & UCF. Wilson should be on flip watch as his visit to Nebraska went extremely well and several recruiting agencies think he’ll end up a Husker, but don’t count Florida State out yet.
IOL – Ryan Miret, 6’4” 290lbs., Miami, FL – 3 Star, he still has visits scheduled for Miami & Ole Miss. Nebraska is in the running, but his hometown state is a real threat.
IOL – Leon Noil Jr., 6’4” 255lbs., New Orleans, LA – 3 Star, he still has visits scheduled for Mississippi State & Houston.
RB – Jamal Rhule, 6’0” 205lbs., Charlotte, NC – 3 Star, he still has a visit scheduled for Boston College. Nebraska would like to pick up at least one running back if not two. They’ve offered other running backs. This may be a case of don’t wait too long to decide.
Closed Recruitment and Crystal Balls after visiting.
TE – Luke Sorensen, 6’4” 245lbs., Anaheim, CA – 3 Star, he did have visits scheduled to Penn State & Florida but after visiting Nebraska he shut down his recruitment. That’s a good sign for the Huskers.
IOL – Hayden Ainsworth, 6’5” 305lbs., Biloxi MS – 3 Star, he was scheduled to visit Ole Miss, but Ainsworth also shut down his recruitment, cancelling his visit. Again, that’s a good sign for the Huskers.
Six players still scheduled to make visits over the next week.
ATH – Jacob Eberhart, 6’3” 210lbs., Kirkwood, MO – 4 Star, schools in the mix are Oklahoma & Missouri. Listed as an athlete, Nebraska sees him as a possible wide receiver.
DL – Valdin Sone, 6’3” 315lbs., Dyke, VA (Sweden) – 4 Star, he still has visits scheduled for Oklahoma & Georgia. He’s on campus today (13th) and Nebraska is trying to get him to stack an official visit onto the weekend, if he doesn’t take his OV while he’s here, it’s a bad sign for the Huskers. This one may come down to NIL.
RB – Brian Bonner, 6’0” 180lbs., Valencia, CA – 3 Star, he still has visits scheduled for Notre Dame & Penn State. Nebraska is high on Bonner and has worked hard to make him a Husker. Notre Dame was a threat, but the Irish haves already taken two backs in the 2026 cycle.
RB – Zephan Walker, 5’11” 190lbs., Peculair, MO – 3 Star, schools in the mix are Oklahoma, Kansas State, & Kansas. He visits Nebraska on the 20th.
OT – Kevin Obot, 6’5” 265lbs., Fruitland, ID – 4 Star, he still has visits scheduled for Michigan & Oregon. Nebraska has been in pursuit of Obot for a while and would love for him to commit. They see him as a true offensive tackle and would love to add his depth to the position.
OL – Claude Mpouma, 6’8” 265lbs., Chicago, IL – 4 Star, visits scheduled to Florida, Auburn, & Michigan. Another offensive lineman Nebraska has worked hard for and would like to add.
Five players committed to the Huskers.
OT – Rex Waterman, 6’5” 295lbs., Chandler, AZ – 3 Star, committed to Nebraska
LB – Jase Reynolds, 6’2” 206lbs., Omaha, NE – 3 Star, committed to Nebraska
S – CJ Bronaugh, 6’1” 166lbs., Windermere, FL – 4 Star, committed to Nebraska. Even though he is committed he’s still taking visits scheduled for Penn State & Florida State. Nebraska will need to continue to work to keep him on board.
QB – Dayton Raiola, 6’1” 205lbs., Buford, GA – 3 Star, committed to Nebraska
WR – Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte, 6’2” 190lbs., Sioux Falls, SD – 3 Star committed to Nebraska. Bonwell-Witte suffered a season ending knee injury last fall and has been rehabbing since. Nebraska wants him to visit and go through testing to see how he is doing. As of now a date hasn’t been set for him to visit. His commitment could be up in the air.
Many of the guys listed will make their decision this month, however there will be those that wait until during or after the season. The best recruiting tool the Huskers have is to games. Winning solves everything.
