Three-star Lincoln native Jackson Carpenter is staying home. On Wednesday, Carpenter signed with the Cornhuskers, joining five other in-state recruits in this year’s class. Carpenter began his high school career as one of just a handful of freshmen in Lincoln Southwest history to play varsity. Jackson is the son of former Nebraska tight end, Tim Carpenter, who won three national championships while playing for Nebraska from 1993 to 1997.
