Nebraska Loses to USC 28-20 Missing Bowl Eligibility Yet Again

There were so many things that happened in this game that were questionable – it’s hard to believe we’re going in the right direction.
Fans are going to complain about the defense while the defense was gashed for some big plays, they are not the reason why Nebraska can’t win one score games.
That continues to fall on the offense. The offense in this game scored 13 points against a defense that wasn’t very good.
So many questions about how everything was handled.
We have a new offensive coordinator, but I don’t think we could have seen many changes in the two weeks he had to start work.
Why, on special teams, are we fielding punts at the four-yard line?
Why, toward the end of the half, did we not bother to field the punt and then let it roll all the way to the foot line, so we were forced to run a play just to make sure we didn’t get a safety in the end zone?
Why did we attempt to go for it or appear to look like we were going for it on fourth down, only have Dylan Raiola come onto the field, not do a hard count, then hold his hand out to the center to make sure that everybody knew the center wasn’t supposed to snap the ball?
Then you you take the delay a game penalty. None of that sequence made any sense to me. I’m sure it didn’t make any sense to anybody else.
Maybe Matt Rule can explain it while he’s wearing his clown outfit, because right now, that’s what it looks like. This looks like the coaching staff is full of clowns. It looks like we don’t know what we’re doing. At least 2 3rds of the team, between special teams and offense, one more chance to get ball eligible, and it goes away. So now we have two more games to win one to get to a bowl game.
Why did you bring Heinrich Haarberg in to have one play where he gains 13 yards and then take him back out of the game? Why can’t you allow him to run a full series?
God, I miss a running quarterback. I miss winning, but I miss a running quarterback a lot, or at least a guy who’s a threat to run. It was clear in this game that Dylan Raiola was no threat to gain more than one or two yards because his back is still hurting him.
I don’t understand any of what we’re trying to accomplish, and that’s probably the most frustrating thing of all.
