Hello Husker Fans! The Husker Athletic machine is constantly moving and turning out headline after headline. Between the constant stream of news from football, to current in season sports, here is a weekly recap of what is going on in Husker Athletics this week
Husker Football

– Nebraska and Tennessee will officially not be playing a home and away series in 2026-2027, with Tennessee opting not to push the series back as Nebraska did for them in 2016-2017
– Nebraska DL Ty Robinson has helped his draft stock this week by running a 4.83 second 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine this week
– TE Thomas Fidone ran the 4th fasted 40 yard dash amongst TE’s with a 4.70 time
– CB Tommi Hill has graded 10th best amongst corners at the Combine with a 75 overall, but was graded with a 94 in athleticism which is good for 1st amongst corners in the Combine
– WR Isaiah Neyor has posted impressive scouting numbers at the Combine thus far and ran a 4.40 second 40 yard dash, its safe to say the the WR has boosted his draft stock heading into the draft
Husker Men’s Basketball
The Mens Basketball team did not have a very good week in terms of boosting their stock for NCAA Tournament eligibility. The Men lost 49-46 against #15 Michigan, and lost 67-65 at home to Minnesota. The loss to Michigan was one of the worst offensive outings for Nebraska in a long time, and the loss to a quad 2 Minnesota at Pinnacle Bank arena was a gut punch. Nebraska trailed at one point by 19 points and managed to fight back and even take a lead, but lost in the final seconds of the game when Minnesota hit a 3 pointer with 4 seconds to go. If Nebraska is going to make it to the NCAA Tourney they are going to need to beat Northwestern this week and have a strong showing in the B1G tournament. The Men have a must win game against Ohio State and Iowa to close the season out
Husker Women’s Basketball
The Women’s Basketball team finds themselves in a similar spot to the Men’s team at the moment, on the bubble for the NCAA Tourney, with some impressive wins on their resume, but some bad losses to boot. This week the Women played a mid level Washington Huskies team and lost by a score of 62-83 at home on senior day. The women sit 18-10 overall and stand a good chance of making the NCAA Tourney but will want a strong showing in the B1g Tourney to help boost their resume. This week they play Northwestern on Sunday at 2pm CST
Husker Softball
The Softball team sits 14-6 overall for the season and is currently ranked #18 in the AP Poll. Jordy Bahl has been as good as we were hoping for and the Huskers have had many chances to prove they are a top 10 team but have not been able to get it done. This week they beat Utah 10-2, beat South Dakota St. 8-5, lost to Oklahoma St. 0-1, lost to Missouri 1-7, and beat Wichita St. 15-0 in 5 innings. Today they play Missouri again at 12pm CST. They will play Northern Colorado, UNI, and South Dakota State this week at the Big Red Spring Fling
Husker Baseball
The Baseball team currently sits at 4-5 and is now out of the AP Top 25. They have showed signs of greatness with a win over a very good Vanderbilt team, but also lost 2-3 games to the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns. This week they beat Sam Houston 8-3, and lost to LSU 6-11. This coming week Nebraska will play Kansas State, Omaha, South Dakota State, and begin conference play against Washington with a three game road series.
